???? Book recommendation as you shift into summer!

WHEW! We made it to summer! I hope you have plans to relax and enjoy a summer vacation.

For REALTORS®, this time of year typically slows down, allowing you to take your foot off the gas, spend time with your family and maybe sit back and plan how you will reach your goals for the second half of the year.

Now that we’ve entered the summer months, I wanted to send you a little encouragement.

A slower pace in the summer is always a given, but after record-breaking years in an explosive Boise Market, this summer slowdown is a bit more drastic than before. You know a big shift is happening, and as you look at your goals now and where you want to be by the end of 2022, it can feel a bit overwhelming.

With more than 20 years in the real estate industry, our team has seen it all. I know how hard it can be to be in real estate when the market shifts. You need to plan how to keep serving your clients and reach your goals even when the market is drastically different than what it has been for the past few years.

Last week we gave our agents the book “SHIFT: How Top Real Estate Agents Tackle Tough Times” by Gary Keller. In the forward of the book, he says, “You need to pick the results you want and match the effort that those results require.”

Over the last few years, you may have easily exceeded your goals. But as the market shifts, your effort will also have to shift if you want the results to follow.

At Mike Brown Group, we want our agents to succeed and reach their goals when the market is booming, as well as when the market starts to shift. We provide our agents with ample support, including advanced training and coaching so they are knowledgeable and can stop worrying about the market shift, and instead, focus on their clients and their goals.

As we slip into the slower summer months, it’s a great chance to relax, but also a time to create a well thought out plan for how you will finish the year. Does that mean finding a new group to give you the support you need to reach your goals? If that’s you, we would love to talk to you.

Regardless of where you are in your real estate career, we hope you take advantage of this shift into summer!
